Two weeks ago Kacie and me were looking for her jacket on a Saturday morning. All of a sudden we hear Ben yelling, "Matsu wake-up" over and over. He sounded panicked. We ran to the kitchen to find Matsu on her side with no life in her. She was not breathing and Ben could not hear a heart beat. I picked her head up and she was limp. Her eyes just stared straight ahead. I started to cry and tell her not to leave us yet. Kacie started to cry and she got on her knees and asked God to not let her die. Jake was in the living room crying as well. Ben ran back to the bedroom to get dressed so he could get her to the vet. While he was getting dressed I started to to see her breathe very slight. At that point we thought maybe there was still a chance.
As we drove to the vet she slowly started coming to. By the time we got to the vet she could stand again. We found out that Matsu's heart is enlarged on one side. This causes the blood circulation to slow down. And it can cause her to have lack of oxygen to the brain, thus causing her to pass out. She has since had another fainting spell. The vet told us at one point she will pass out and not wake up.
This is all very sad of course. However Matsu is not in pain and she is getting more spoiled than she could ever imagine!!
We are so grateful to a God who answered Kacie's prayer. It is AWESOME that our Lord cares about our pets too!!
