Jake Football
I wanted to pass along this link to Jake's Rockets Football web page. Towards the top of the page there are a couple of links you can click on to see some video highlights of his games. Jake is #45 and plays Tight End on the left side of the offensive line. Sometimes he plays Corner Back on defense.
Beautiful September Days...
The Lord has blessed us with wonderful weather this past week. Kacie and I have tried to get out and enjoy it as much as we can. On one of our adventures, Kacie asked if she could ride her brother's bike. So, we put on the training wheels...

It's a Girl!!
When you go to the State Fair, it is a must to go and check out the "Birthing Barn". In years past we have seen piglets and chicks. And there is usually a mama cow in labor. It just so happened this year we saw Sally give birth to her baby girl calf. The kids did not ask a lot of questions. And I for sure did not explain anything I didn't have to! But according to Jake, baby cows come out of the mama's bottom. And he's pretty sure that is not how humans come out, it is just that way with animals. I told him that he was right, he did not come out of my bottom. Whew!! Made it through that one!
She was resting from her efforts in trying to stand up.
"It's A Wild Ride, Baby"
For those of you out of the state of Kansas, this week is the Kansas State Fair. The State Fair is always a great time...from the rides, to the food, the animals, the vendors and of course the "people watching". The kids and I had fun, especially Jake because he got to play hooky from school (we're such bad parents, I know). But since today we got in the Fair for free with our Dillons card and all rides were just one dollar we decided to go for it. We don't go to Hutchinson every year for the event, but we really should make it a tradition...we make some great memories together!! Here are a few of them.
