Rose Hill Warriors

This basketball season I had a blast coaching Jake. It was a 1st/2nd grade co-ed team. My goal of the season was to make sure each kid had so much fun that they would want to play again next year. I cannot speak for any of them but I know we (Ben coached too) had fun with each kid...
One girl was so aggressive that she would tackle, she actually made one boy cry at practice.
One boy thought he had to stay on a line when running up and down the court, it looked like he was pac-man trying to get away from the ghosts.
Two other boys would act like robots and I would have to remind them that they were in a basketball game.
Getting to know these kids was truly a blessing!!

Because Ben and I were coaching we did not get very many pictures. However, these are a couple from his last game.

Happy Valentines Day--1 Day Late

I have many people in my life I would consider as a sweetheart... Here is me and my favorite lil dude sweetheart. Between you and me, I pray this sweetheart never stops letting me hug on him in public :)

Jake enjoying his frosted cookie at his school Valentine Party...Yummy!!

Kacie was very excited about her princess castle Valentine box.

Valentine Divine

When Jesus Christ decided to
Give us a Valentine,
He followed His Father’s orders--
The task God did assign.

He gave Himself, His life, His all,
For this special Valentine,
Knowing He would change the world;
Real love He’d redefine.

It’s sacrifice we need to give
To a beloved Valentine;
When we do that, we get a glimpse
Of the holy and divine.

Oh Lord, please help us be like you,
With every Valentine.
When we love each other as You did,
It’s then that we’re really Thine.
