I am so SORRY, Sadie!

Sadie needed a little trim. She was beginning to look like a bear. (I don't have a picture of her in her bear hair). Ron had given me some animal sheers and so I thought I should try them out. Well...2 hours later Sadie was bald. Without her little red hoodie, she looks like an african dog of some sort. I am just glad that Sadie could care less about her hair, although she shivers a little bit more now. And she looks kind of cute in her hoodie:)

Jacob just completed his first research project. He was super excited about it. He had to choose an Indian Tribe to research and make a model of the type of home they lived in.

Happy 5th Birthday Kacie!

On November 11th Kacie turned 5 years old. How quickly the 5 years have gone. But it has been such a blessing having her in our lives. She has a tender heart and makes us laugh all the time. God uses Kacie for sure to bring joy into our lives each day!!

Kacie has been wanting a kitten but dad says no. So, she got a Fur Real kitten. Kacie thinks it is pretty close to the real thing. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma!

Pat & Jill, thank you for taking time out to come visit us! It really meant a lot to us that you would come and spend time with us in Kansas. We had such a great time visiting the museums, eating out, playing backyard football and just hanging out. Jill, I really do wish you lived around the corner. I am enjoying our friendship more and more each time we are together. We love you guys!!

Lost Tooth in Yoder

Yoder is a small Amish town outside of Hutchinson. I was just telling Jill that I had not seen a carriage and horse the last couple of years that I drove through town. And wouldn't you know, there was one the day they happen to be with us.

Yoder has a restaurant that people will travel for miles to eat at. So we decided to eat lunch there and see just how good it could be. I have to say it was OK. Nothing spectacular. However, for Kacie it was a special place. She bit into her corn dog and bit the stick as well. And her loose tooth ended up barely hanging on. She did let me pull it, but it was pretty traumatic. Here she is in the car on the way home with her paper towel that would make it feel all better.

An Awesome Weekend!

The 1st weekend in November, Jill and her family flew to Wichita to stay a long weekend with us. We had so much fun hanging out together!!

On Friday we drove to Hutchinson and took a tour in the underground salt mine. You might have seen an episode about it on "Dirty Jobs". We spent about 2 hours down in the mine (650 feet below).
