Spring Break

As it is with most Spring Breaks for our family, we stayed in town. Although we did not go anywhere, we did manage to keep our week busy. Jacob had a basketball camp for 4 days. Mom spent 2 days with the youth from church. Dad took 3 days off to be home. We went cosmic bowling and to a Wichita Wild Football game.

Here are 3 girls from our youth retreat: Jubilee, Sarah and Molly. Jesus blessed me so much by hanging out with these sweet girls for two days. Bonnie, another girl had fallen asleep and did not get in the picutre. We spent lots of time laughing, praying and serving with one another...

Cosmic bowling. Kacie invited her friend Tymber. Jake and his friend Grant also bowled. Ben's brother and his family hung out with us while we watched the football game. Here are the cousins...

March 18th...11 Years!

I could not have written a better story of how wonderful the first 11 years of marriage would be. Thank you Lord for the blessing of marriage and for giving us the wisdom of knowing it is because of the gospel that our marriage brings us so much joy!

Kacie's Kindergarten Program

In February, 3 of the 5 kindergarten classes participated in a school program. Kacie was very excited about performing. We were not sure if she was going to make it or not. Kacie had missed 2 days of school with a high fever. Well, she felt OK the night of the program and from the pictures you can tell she had a great time.

In one part of the program Ben sang and danced with Kacie...she felt so special!

Kacie laughing at something her friend Jack did.

Kacie playing her instrument.

All of the kids. Kacie, Grace and Delayni waiting to start! Kacie, you were so beautiful singing and dancing!!

Wichita Thunder Hockey

Kacie, Tymber and Brylee...we met at Subway before the game.

Our Small group met to eat and then to go cheer on the Wichita Thunder. It was a fun night...especially watching all of our kids get into it! Thanks Jeff and Suz for inviting us to the game!!

Go Thunder!!

Audra took this picture on the way to the arena. I thought it was a neat shot!

Spirit Week

Here is Kacie on Hat Day. She had to have Sadie in the picture too.

Here is Jake on Crazy Hair Day

Happy Heart Day

Kacie was looking forward to this day for a few weeks. She wanted to get the just right valentine for each classmate. She had a lot of fun writing them all out and checking the names off the list. Of course she couldn't wait to see what her valentine cards said too. I just love that she is all girl...thank you Lord for making her exactly the way you did!!

Here is Jake with the kids in his group. He wasn't into valentines quite like Kacie. He was more pumped to see what kind of candy he got. He is all boy...thank you Lord for making Jacob exactly the way he is!!

Half Way to 70...

At River Side Cafe

Yes. On February 21st my husband informed me that I was half way to 70 years old. Are you serious? I had not thought of it that way...thanks babe!

Turning 35 was wonderful. My health is good. I love being married to my partner in life! And I love being a mom to Jake and Kacie! God has blessed me more than I could ever have imagined!!

Ben took the day off and let me sleep in. He got the kids ready for school and then we headed to a little dive for breakfast. River Side Cafe...yummy! We then spent the day just laughing and hanging out. For dinner we went to Chili's and had some more yummy food. Once we got back at home we had cake (Ben actually lit 35 candles for me to blow out) and ice cream. What a perfect way to spend my half way to 70 day!!
