Happy Heart Day

Kacie was looking forward to this day for a few weeks. She wanted to get the just right valentine for each classmate. She had a lot of fun writing them all out and checking the names off the list. Of course she couldn't wait to see what her valentine cards said too. I just love that she is all girl...thank you Lord for making her exactly the way you did!!

Here is Jake with the kids in his group. He wasn't into valentines quite like Kacie. He was more pumped to see what kind of candy he got. He is all boy...thank you Lord for making Jacob exactly the way he is!!

Half Way to 70...

At River Side Cafe

Yes. On February 21st my husband informed me that I was half way to 70 years old. Are you serious? I had not thought of it that way...thanks babe!

Turning 35 was wonderful. My health is good. I love being married to my partner in life! And I love being a mom to Jake and Kacie! God has blessed me more than I could ever have imagined!!

Ben took the day off and let me sleep in. He got the kids ready for school and then we headed to a little dive for breakfast. River Side Cafe...yummy! We then spent the day just laughing and hanging out. For dinner we went to Chili's and had some more yummy food. Once we got back at home we had cake (Ben actually lit 35 candles for me to blow out) and ice cream. What a perfect way to spend my half way to 70 day!!

First Snow of 2011

HEAT BASKETBALL

This year for basketball, another parent and myself put a team of 8 boys together to play in the YMCA competitive league. It has been such a blast! The boys have already come so far since we started last November.
We also have a blog for our team for the friends and family who cannot make it to the games and are interested in how we are doing this season:

Here are a couple of pictures of Jake in action

Everyone checking out their new stuff...

Aunt Cherith helping the girls with the fashion drawings.

Sweet boys!

Kacie bought Grandma a present with her own money. It was cute because it was a bell that actually said, "I love my Aunt". Of course Grandma thought it was the best :).

A Praying Life--What is it?

"A praying life isn't simply a morning prayer time; it is about slipping into prayer at odd hours of the day, not because we are disciplined but because we are in touch with our own poverty of spirit, realizing that we cant even walk through a mall or our neighborhood without the help of the Spirit of Jesus." ~P. Miller
