1st Grade Spring Concert

The program is getting ready to start.
This is 3 of the 6 first grade classes in Jake's school.

Each child performed on an instrument during a particular song.
This is Jake's performance on the finger bells...
He is right behind the microphone.

"The Best Thing About Easter"

We hope you all had a blessed Easter Sunday!
Here are the kids in their Easter Best.

It was cold and rainy outside on Easter. So...we had an indoor egg hunt. Here are the cousins with all of the eggs they were able to find. The guys probably hid 150 eggs or so around the house. Thanks Grandma and Cherith for bringing filled eggs!!

This is Addi and Kacie getting eggs in the basement. Mom I will post some more pictures of the basement soon!

Coloring Eggs

I wanted to share with you all a book that our family has enjoyed over the past couple of years. It goes on to tell all of the wonderful things that surround Easter. But in the end..."The Best Thing About Easter"...is Jesus.

No...It Can't Be Over!!

Spring Break has ended and the kiddos head back to school this week. In times past I am ready for the Monday after spring break... especially after the kids have been arguing and starting to drive me a little insane. But this time it was different.
After thinking about why it went better than normal, two things come to mind...
First, I have been praying for Jake's and mine relationship to grow and that this week we could really enjoy one another.
Second, God has been showing me that parenting is nothing personal. And if my kids do actually obey it is all by His grace.

Mason & Jake at the park. It was 80 degrees that day, a true taste of spring!

We ended the week with cousins at the Crown Uptown. We watched a funny rendition of Cinderella. Here are the kids eating before the play started.

Happy 9 Years!!

It is so CRAZY to think we have been married this long. And I don't mean long in the sense it seems like forever but that it has gone by so quickly. God has been so good to us in our marriage. He has given us so much grace to help us figure out how this relationship can bring us much fulfillment and joy.
Thank you for the beautiful flowers, for stuffing your face with me (Texas Road House Rolls...need I say more) and for making me feel like a Queen...

I LOVE YOU!!!

What a Fun Trip!!

The Friday before the wedding 6 of us ladies drove to the
Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs and Spa. It was amazing....

While I was away soaking...Ben took the kids to the Sandia Peak Tram. From what I was told it was the highlight for Jake and Kacie. http://www.sandiapeak.com/

The day of the wedding we took the kids to the science museum called EXPLORA. We were very impressed...Exploration Place could take some notes!!

Of course we had to swim in the hotel pool!!

On the way home we took the main interstate and met my mom and step dad in Amarillo for lunch. They only live about an hour from there. Thanks for meeting us! It was a quick visit, but it was great to see you both!!

A Trip to the Southwest

February 19Th-22ND the 4 of us went to Albuquerque, New Mexico to watch Ben's cousin AJ marry a wonderful, Godly gal named Holly. We are so blessed to have you in our family!

This is an accident picture that I liked the way it turned out. It was after the ceremony and the photographers were trying to get their lighting just right...And then bonehead me tries to sneak a shot and my flash goes off which sets off their lighting...it is a good thing to be humbled, right?

Kacie absolutely is a romantic at heart. She loves weddings!! Here she is dancing with her daddy. But she had to wait for her mommy to dance with him first. And it was very sweet because the wedding happened to be on my 33rd birthday...I can't remember the last time I got to dance with my LOVE on my special day.

If you look close at the left side of the picture you can see Kacie with her cousin Addi waiting to catch the bouquet of flowers.
