Random Christmas Fun

Christmas is such a beautiful time of the year! If life is going well at the time, it seems easy to really see the JOY in celebrating the birth of our Savior. And if life is full of trials, it is a time you can REST in what our Savior has done for us. This time of year is for the young and old, the rich and poor and the hurting. We hope you all continue on with the Christmas Spirit as you welcome in the New Year.
Our Christmas was a lot of fun! With our kids being the ages of 8 and 5 they are really starting to understand why we make such a big deal of our Christ's birth. They would not let us forget to do our Christmas Advent devotional...if we didn't do it for that evening, they would want to do whatever we needed to do to catch up.
Jake was so fun to watch as he had spent some of his own money to buy each of us a gift. It wasn't much but it was SO much...watching his face glow as he watched us open them was priceless!
Kacie really got into helping me decorate the house and the tree. She wanted to know where each ornament came from. Hopefully she will want to help me put it all away :)
Christmas morning we enjoyed time with the four of us. Such a sweet, sweet time. God has truly blessed us with a family that has a lot of fun together. We then headed to Ben's parents for a brunch. Jan made a delicious blueberry french toast casserole. The whole day was very relaxing and wonderful...later in the afternoon Ben's brother and his family came over. We opened gifts and just enjoyed one another.
Here are a few pictures we took...

Kacie showing Sadie's teeth and her own.

As you can tell Kacie LOVES Sadie!

Jake got a Rubik's Cube however Dad is addicted...
